The King's Head dates from 1801. The building itself has a datestone above the door from 1735 along with the initials of a carpenter, Walter Paine, and a carved monkey. We are located in the market town of Woodstock seven miles to the north of Oxford.  The main tourist attraction in Woodstock is Blenheim Palace, home of the Dukes of Marlborough since 1722, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill in 1874 and a World Heritage site.

The pub has a cosy bar area to the front with original stone walls and open fireplace. To the rear is large dining area and attractive courtyard for those sunny days. Well known for long being a Spud Pub, The King's Head now has a new team and menu.
